Jesus stood in opposition to the kind of authority that the religious leaders were trying to claim.  His authority was from God, and yet it was realized through His submission to God.  Jesus fulfilled God’s will by obeying the command that He received…to give up His life for the world.  That is the nature of the Kingdom.  It’s power is found in love and sacrifice.
